Christopher Barrilleaux, DSW, MSW, MATh, LCSW

Dr. Christopher Barrilleaux is an Adjunct Professor of Social Work at Tulane University. He completed the Doctor of Social Work degree from Tulane in May 2017, and received the Outsanding Doctoral Student Achievement Award. Publications are in the clinical fiend of sexual addiction treatment efficacy, and in the macro field of housing policy.

Dr. Barrilleaux has taught theory for 2 semesters and Advanced Clinical & Community Practice for 1 semester to MSW students at Tulane. Dr. Barrilleaux has worked within the field for over 30 years, as a substance abuse counselor, a professional counselor, and a social worker. He has experience in both clinical and community practice areas. He was an interventionist and outpatient counselor for the now defunct Baton Rouge Chemical Dependency Units; MSW team leader at Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff's Office; adolescent & adult outpatient program director at Odyssey House Louisiana, and a volunteer social worker for the homeless at St. Joseph Church Wellness Center prior to Hurricane Katrina. 

Dr. Barrilleaux has been exclusively in private practice since 2004. His private practice foci include broad spectrum addictive disorders, co-occuring disorders, forenic social work, and collaborative divorce coaching. His mezzo social work practice includes organizational leadership development where he enjoys team building through a lens of jungian typology.
