TSSW Alumni Event: Understanding the Role of Race, Culture, and Bias in Service Provision

Providing effective services is the goal for social workers. However, potential roadblocks can occur when staff and organizations have not addressed systemic barriers and unconscious bias. This lunch and learn session will provide social workers an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of oppression, identity formation, and how our experiences can affect engagement with individuals and the community. The presentation will provide activities that give attendees tools that can assist in the exploration of culture and evaluating the effect identity has on service provision.

This workshop is designed for alumni of the Tulane School of Social Work. This continuing education workshop provides 1.5 General hours. The TSSW Alumni Association is providing this workshop free of charge to our alumni base. Up to 500 online registrants available.

Advanced registration for alumni is required. Click here to register.
