TSSW To Host Homecoming Week Events
The Tulane School of Social Work is excited to celebrate Wave ’21 with our wonderful alumni, faculty, staff, students, prospective students, and friends! The TSSW Office of Alumni Relations along with other Tulane and TSSW Departments will host both virtual and in-person events during reunion weekend to celebrate and connect the TSSW community. Registration is required for virtual events and requested for our in-person tailgate. Please join us for the following.
Beyond Graduation: Career Support & Alumni Engagement, Tuesday, November 9, 12:00pm – 1:00pm CT
To support TSSW Master of Social Work candidates looking toward graduating in December, members of TSSW's Field Education Department, Tulane's Career & Professional Development, and TSSW's Alumni Office are presenting a hybrid event during Homecoming week. Join us in resource sharing and Q&A about finding and applying for jobs, leveraging your field work, licensure, and opportunities for alumni. On-campus students can join us in-person in room 343, and online students can join us by registering for the Zoom below.
TSSW Virtual Alumni Reunion Cocktail Hour with New Orleans Drinks Historian Elizabeth Pearce, Wednesday, November 10, 6:30pm – 7:30pm CT
Join TSSW alumni for a virtual cocktail hour with New Orleans drinks historian Elizabeth Pearce as she teaches us how to prepare a classic cocktail and regales us with tales of some of the most famous (and infamous) people, places, and events that informed the creation of the drink. A recipe guide will be sent out the week prior to the event so you can get prepared with all ingredients needed, and a non-alcoholic version is included. Attendance for this event is limited to 50 alumni registrants. We look forward to raising a glass to celebrate 2021 homecoming with you!

TSSW Virtual Alumni Lunch and Learn CE Session with Kathleen Whalen, LCSW-BACS, MEd, Thursday, November 11, 11:30am – 12:30pm CT
Join us for a free virtual CE session for our alumni focused on Cultural Humility and Trauma Stewardship and facilitated by TSSW alumna and adjunct instructor, Kathleen Whalen SW *88.
TSSW Virtual Alumni and Graduating Student Networking Event, Friday, November 12, 1:00pm – 2:00pm CT
Join members of the TSSW Alumni Board, fellow alumni, and graduating TSSW students from across the country to connect and network with others in the industry. All alumni and students are encouraged to attend this event which will include break-out rooms for small group connections.
TSSW In-Person Homecoming Game Tailgate Tent Celebration, Saturday, November 13, Tulane’s Uptown Campus on the Berger Family Lawn (LBC Quad), starting at 11am
Join alumni, students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and friends at an in-person Homecoming Game Tailgate Tent. This fun-filled opportunity to connect with one another will also include food, refreshments, swag, music, games, and a Glitter Buffett for everyone to get into a sparkly Tulane spirit.
