Expert Advice: Doomscrolling Isn't Helping Our Well Being

The act of endlessly looking at news and social media feeds has a name - "Doomscrolling." And, it may not be good for your mental health. Associate Professor Dr. Catherine McKinley spoke to Forbes about this practice and offered helpful suggestions to avoid it.

"During these predictable transition times, we can replace doomscrolling with positive coping skills, like reading something positive, engaging in meditation, listening to music, taking positive social action, helping others, exercising, cooking meals, being with loved ones ore pets, or simply sitting with stimuli."
