Micaela Peinado, DSW, LCSW

Micaela Peinado, LCSW received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California, with a minor in Women’s Studies in 2008. She received her MSW from Azusa Pacific University in 2011 and her Doctorate in Social Work from Tulane University. She has worked considerably with at-risk, dual diagnosis, and vulnerable populations in non-profit community mental health settings, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and most recently with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. She has extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Seeking Safety, Illness Management and Recovery, and is certified in Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART Recovery).
