Associate Professor Dr. Marva Lewis has co-authored a chapter with Dr. Karen Craddock in the first edition of The Routledge Companion to Motherhood. Their contribution of "Mothering While Black: Strengths and Vulnerabilities in a Sociopolitical Racial Context of Structural Inequality" will support the text's introduction of foundational topics and ideas of mothering and delineate the complexities of marginalized mothers.
