Tags:

The standard-setting accreditation body for social work education has invited one of our esteemed faculty members to participate in a steering committee to develop the Curricular Guide for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Developmental Neuroscience.

Dr. Marva Lewis will lead the work on Engaging Diversity and Difference in Practice for the Council on Social Work Education's curricular guide that describes the knowledge, values, skills, and cognitive and affective processes that comprise social work competencies for specialized practice. Dr. Lewis will be a part of a national effort to increase competence and expertise in social work schools by creating a resource to help faculty conceptualize specialized practice in infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) and developmental neuroscience.

Once complete, the guide will be accessible to CSWE program and individual members for free on the CSWE website.
