Publication: Traumatology Special Issue on COVID-19

Dr. Reggie Ferreira serves as the editor of Traumatology, a primary reference for professionals all over the world who study and treat people exposed to highly stressful and traumatic events, such as terrorist bombings, war disasters, fires, accidents, criminal and familial abuse, hostage-taking, hospitalization, major illness, abandonment, and sudden unemployment.

The most recent issue focuses on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and includes studies focused on mental health disparities, trauma, and resilience in its wake. It includes fourteen articles detailing empirical and theoretical approaches seeking to gain a better understanding of how COVID-19 impacts our overall well-being. Whether you are a social worker, mental health professional, healthcare provider, volunteer, or other disaster/trauma professional, this special issue of Traumatology provides a wealth of knowledge to help you help others.

Several other TSSW faculty members including Dr. Charles Figley, Dr. Fred Buttell, and Monica Sanders are among the authors within the journal.
