Academic Success Coaches (ASC) are available to assist graduate students throughout their academic journey at the Tulane University School of Social Work (TSSW). ASCs focus primarily on assisting students achieve their goals by providing questions, observations, feedback, encouragement, support, and accountability. Your ASC is assigned to you based upon your degree program and/or last name.

TSSW ASC's support students in their academic, personal, and career success. A one-on-one meeting with an Academic Success Coach can assist you in creating actionable steps towards meeting your goals. Coaching is primarily focused on the present and future, with a concentration on time-limited, action-oriented results, and your ASC is available to partner with you in managing your time effectively, motivation, testing anxiety, stress, and decision-making.
Academic Success Coaches differ from Program Managers and Academic Advisors in that Success Coaches do not assist students with course selection, major declaration, degree requirements, and academic progress.
