Biography
Dr. Alan Kirk is a Professor of Social Work and Director of the Kennesaw State University Master of Social Work Program located near Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Kirk holds degrees from Samford University (B.S.), University of Alabama (MSW) and Florida State University (PhD).
Dr. Kirk maintains an LCSW clinical license. His professional social work experience includes active duty in the US Air Force Medical Corps, Director of Out-Patient Mental Health Services at the Albany New York VA Medical Center, full-time private practice in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami Metropolitan area and academic positions at Barry University, University of Maryland, Southeastern Louisiana University and Clark Atlanta University. He has also served as an Air Force Reservist in a Special Operations unit for many years and expeditions.
