Amy Trainor's experience in higher education encompasses a wide range of student affairs areas, reflecting a depth of understanding and proficiency in supporting students holistically. She has worked in admissions in the university and proprietary setting. She has also worked in freshmen orientation where she honed her skills in guiding students through the pivotal transition to university life. In her career, Amy has served as an academic and career advisor, providing invaluable support to students as they navigate their academic and professional journeys. She has been dedicated to enhancing student life, fostering a vibrant and inclusive campus community.
Amy earned her Master's degree despite the demands of full-time work and raising a young family. She understands firsthand the challenges, resilience and determination adult learners experience. Outside of work, Amy enjoys all things NOLA - sports, festivals, cooking, and spending time with her family.
