Biography
Amy “Kaley” Brand, LCSW received her BA in English from Mississippi College and Masters in Social Work from Tulane University. Kaley has spent the majority of her time in New Orleans working in the field of hospice, where she has fulfilled the roles of social worker, bereavement program development and ongoing educator to the community about end of life services. Her primary research and clinical areas of interest include: death, dying and bereavement, hospice and palliative care, the application of grief theories to social work practice, human development across the lifespan, and the experiences of the dying individual. Her future goal is to strengthen the available research surrounding social work interventions for those who are coping with bereavement.
