Biography

Dr. Lufkin completed her Masters in Social Work in 2006 and her Doctorate in Social Work in 2017, both at Tulane. She currently works for Ochsner Health Systems in the Department of Functional Restoration working with chronic pain patients and handles all research for her program. Prior to that, she worked as a clinical counselor for the US Navy and US Marine Corps. She has published journal articles in the areas of military family health and in HIV Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) impacts and usage. Her interests include health and wellness, research, cooking, her adorable dog and learning to garden. She lives in New Orleans.
