Biography

Dr. Alexander received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. He completed his Doctorate of Social Work at Tulane University. He began his social work career as a clinician providing individual therapy to adolescents in both clinical and school-based therapy. His career is now rooted in non-profit administration and policy practice with a focus on vulnerable populations; including individuals diagnosed with development disabilities and therapeutic foster care. His research expertise and focus includes juvenile justice regarding the “cradle to prison” pipeline, policy practice, advocacy, and community development.
