In compliance with the Council on Social Work Education’s Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS), the Tulane School of Social Work utilizes a competency-based approach to assessing student learning outcomes. All programs are required to measure and report student attainment of core competencies that have been identified by CSWE as essential to professional social work practice. Social Work programs establish benchmarks for measuring students’ mastery of these competencies, and outcomes are assessed in relation to these benchmarks.
