Biography
Timothy Davidson is currently the program coordinator for the Consortium for Equitable Disaster Resilience (CEDR) where he’s involved in community-based participatory research looking at how to remove barriers seen in disaster recovery programs. He's also a DRLA fellow/adjunct instructor teaching a class he helped design titled "Path to Funding: Grants, Research, and Community Engagement".
After receiving his master’s degrees, he was involved with the local Continuum of Care lead, UNITY, which seeks to end homelessness in New Orleans. There he was a site supervisor of various temporary transitional housing facilities. In addition to his work with CEDR he's now also a PhD student with Stellenbosch University, where he's exploring the role of social workers in climate change and disasters.
Outside of his work and studies he’s a fly fishing and fly-tying enthusiast, loves seafood, and enjoys spending time with his family.
