Gain Real-World Experience with Field Education
Whether you’re in New Orleans or beyond, we work tirelessly to ensure that you are placed at a field site relevant to the work you’re interested in doing. We encourage you to stay at one field site for the full duration of your MSW to establish relationships with employers and see the full scope of an organization’s work.
Hone your Knowledge with a Focus Area
Once enrolled in our MSW program, you may choose to add a focus area in either Disaster and Collective Trauma or in Mental Health, Addiction, and the Family, without taking any extra credit hours.
Continuing Education
Social work continuing education is a vital component of the profession's competency and ethical values. Throughout their careers, social workers must continue building their knowledge and skills to better empower the individuals, families, groups, and communities they serve. Our Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) facilitates social work continuing education for our entire community throughout the year. We offer mental health professionals a diverse collection of premiere training opportunities and free trainings.
