Covonna Aguillard

Covonna serves as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Tulane University’s School of Social Work, bringing over 15 years of high-level administrative experience, including direct C-suite engagement and organizational management. A proud New Orleans native, Covonna’s career spans the full spectrum of K-12 public education, culminating in her role with the superintendent's administrative team at the Orleans Parish School Board, where she managed high-stakes initiatives while liaising with the elected board. She also pursued studies at Nicholls State University, further enriching her expertise in higher education. 

In addition to her professional experience, Covonna is passionate about community service through Dynamic Cares, a program dedicated to upskilling administrative professionals and equipping individuals with job skills and placement opportunities. With a proven track record in strategic leadership, project management, stakeholder collaboration, and process optimization, Covonna excels in fostering communication and driving efficiency within the dean’s office. Known for her service-first mindset and commitment to excellence, she plays a vital role in advancing the school’s mission.
