Biography

Dr. Lisa M. Wineburg has worked in the mental health field for over 18 years, specializing in trauma-informed modalities. Dr. Wineburg’s passion for helping and healing has led her to open a behavioral health agency, New Beginnings Behavioral Health Services, and a nonprofit organization, The Butterfly Effect Trauma Response & Treatment Foundation, where her main priority is to provide the community with quality mental health support. She is also a recent graduate of Tulane University where she received her doctorate and engaged in research surrounding the effects of repeated trauma exposure. Not only is Dr. Wineburg a change agent in the field of mental health but she is also tied to her community through her service as a retired New Orleans Firefighter and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a service organization.
