Lovia Feliscar, PhD

Lovia Feliscar earned her PhD in Psychology from Tulane University, where she also completed a graduate certificate in Health Psychology. Her research examines how organizational leaders communicate priorities through emergent messaging and public statements, and how constituents (i.e., both leaders charged with change implementation and employees external to the leadership structure) interpret and respond to organizational strategies related to change. Her research also examines how existing social relationships influence individuals’ future engagement with outgroup members. Her work has been supported by competitive research grants and presented at national conferences.

Throughout her graduate training, Dr. Feliscar contributed to research, teaching, and community-engaged initiatives across multiple institutions. She has extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, survey design, statistical analysis, and program evaluation, and has over a decade of experience designing and delivering skill-building programs while mentoring diverse learners.
