Become a Field Instructor

Are you a Tulane School of Social Work alum who would like to support the field education of our Master of Social Work students? We would love to have you share your interest with us!

Through our high-quality Field Education Program, we hope to connect our esteemed alumni and other licensed social workers with students in our clinical-community MSW program. As you remember from your experience as an MSW candidate, field education is the signature pedagogy of social work education. It gives students the opportunity to put their knowledge and skills into supervised practice and empowers individuals, families, groups, and communities in the process.

We are looking for TSSW alumni licensed social workers all over the country to provide instruction and guidance as Field Instructors for our on-campus and online programs. Field instructors are typically employed in agency settings, and they have the responsibility, delegated by the school, for supervising students and creating a healthy learning experience.
