Joe Vega, LCSW-BACS, earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, where he majored in psychology and sociology. He began his career as a care manager for immigrant youth and families in New Jersey, which inspired him to pursue a Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University (TSSW 2007).

Elizabeth Back, LCSW, LICSW hails from the North East, but has been in New Orleans for the last decade. Elizabeth has had an extensive career in mental health, both before and after her time in the Army. With a strong background in substance use disorder, Elizabeth has worked for the courts, community health care and now runs a private practice in the city, specializing in solution-focused, harm reduction- based care for a variety of individuals, including those participating in alternative relationship dynamics.
