Dr. Mylischa Smith-Lewis, DSW, LCSW-BACS, brings over 24 years of experience as a clinical social worker and mental health practitioner across diverse settings, including inpatient psychiatry, residential treatment, and community health. She is the Founder and Chief Clinical Consultant of Mindful by Design, LLC, a private psychotherapy and healthcare consulting practice, where she provides psychotherapy to adults and offers consultation to providers and organizations on integrative approaches to physical, mental, and behavioral health.
Brianne Phillips, LCSW, RPT-S
Brianne earned her bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Missouri State University. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in social work, with a focus on education, mental health, and clinical practice. In addition to teaching at TSSW, she has also taught play therapy workshops, where she helped clinicians deepen their understanding of therapeutic approaches with children.
Nubian Sun, PhD, LCSW-BACS
Dr. Nubian OmiSayade Sun, born in Memphis, TN (Home of the Blues), is a visionary Healing Centered Leader, Educator, and Social Entrepreneur, dedicated to dismantling systemic inequities, fostering healing-centered learning environments, and inciting the spirit of social entrepreneurship across systems of practice. Holding a doctoral degree from the prestigious, Whitney M. Young, Jr., School of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University, Dr. Sun's scholarly contributions provide insight into the experiences of marginalized communities across community and institutional settings.
Powell DiGangi, LMSW
Powell is a 2017 graduate of the Tulane School of Social Work. His career has included roles at Café Reconcile, Children’s Hospital (Emergency Department), and the Greater New Orleans Foundation. In 2023, he launched his own social work practice, Beam: Your Workforce Benefit, which delivers on-site social work services to employers in the construction and building trades. His work focuses on serving a predominantly male workforce — a population often underserved by traditional social services — through an innovative model of workplace-based support.
