Biography

As a Mental Health Registered Nurse and Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 20+ years, Patricia L. Hilton, DSW, LCSW-BACS, RN hopes to utilize her nursing and social work backgrounds to combine educational knowledge and practical experience for an impactful academic class.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

• Clinical experience with a variety of populations of diverse backgrounds including children, adolescents, adults, chemically dependent patients and geriatric clients.
• Experience with clients in a variety of settings including correctional facilities, outpatient clinics, medical hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, ambulatory imaging centers, dental clinics, treatment programs, private practice, group homes, shelters, elementary and high schools.

ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE

• Current Director of Education at a behavioral health hospital in New Orleans, LA.
• Experience with a variety of For-Profit, Not for Profit, Non-Profit, Public and Volunteer organizations
• Management/human resources in social service organizations and healthcare organizations
• Employed in numerous roles from the beginning of my career as a mental health technician to RN, Nurse manager, Program Director, Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
