  • The Louisiana Capital Assistance Center (LCAC) is soliciting applications for a mitigation specialist in their New Orleans office. Interested applicants should provide the following by email to hiring@thejusticecenter.org: cover letter discussing your interest in the position, CV, writing sample, undergraduate transcript if graduated within the past five years, and contact information for three references.   • STAR (Sexual Trauma Awareness & Response®) is hiring for two full time counseling positions. STAR provides individual and group counseling to adult and child survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones. STAR offers health insurance immediately upon Day 1 of employment, and they also provide monthly reimbursement for supervision costs. More information is available here. 

  • Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority, Behavioral Health Community Services (BHCS) Division is hiring. They provide a continuum of community-based behavioral health and support programs to assist individuals in their recovery from mental illness and/or addictive disorders. 

    • The BHCS division is seeking social workers (RSW, CSW, LMSW, LCSW) to provide Evidence-Based community therapies for families. Functional Family Therapy (FFT) offers in-home or community-based therapy for youth and families. This high-quality, strength-focused model is designed for at-risk youth referred by juvenile justice, mental health, school, or child welfare systems. This is a great opportunity for new graduates to gain clinical experience and to be trained in an evidence-based intervention that you will carry throughout your career.

  • The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track assistant professor in Social Work to begin August 2024. However, candidates with an accredited MSW with two years of post MSW experience and a PhD in a related field may be considered.
