Dr. Joan Blakey and Dr. Maurya Glaude Published in Child Abuse and Neglect: The International Journal

Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Joan Blakey and professor of practice Dr. Maurya Glaude along with associate professor Dr. Sheara Williams Jennings of the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work have published a research article in Child Abuse and Neglect: The International Journal.

Their qualitative case study explored school, school personnel, and program related factors that trainers working in a child abuse prevention program believed led to or impeded disclosure among school age children. Greater understanding of the factors that lead to disclosure is critical to ensuring the safety of children.
