Publication: Psychosis, Telehealth, and COVID-19: Successes and Lessons Learned from the First Wave of the Pandemic

As part of an interdisciplinary team, DSW Program Director Dr. Tonya Hansel, recent MSW graduate Ariana O'Shea, and DSW alumna Dr. Serena Chaudhry published "Psychosis, Telehealth, and COVID-19: Successes and Lessons Learned from the First Wave of the Pandemic" with Dr. Ashley Weiss and Grinasha Dillon of the Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic New Orleans (EPIC-NOLA) and Tulane University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. Their article in the Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness journal is a brief report analyzing a first-episode psychosis (FEP) clinic’s shift from in-person treatment to the provision of services through telemental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. They assessed client engagement as a way of examining the feasibility of using this technology.
